Billboard Top 100 #1 The Box - Roddy Ricch

“The Box” was released on December 6, 2019, as part of his debut studio album Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial.

“The Box" became an instant hit on TikTok, courtesy of Ricch’s punchy hook and squeaky “Eer Err'' ad-libs. On Monday (Jan. 13), “The Box'' trumped Justin Bieber’s “Yummy” and became the new No. 1 song on the Hot 100, usurping Post Malone’s “Circles.”

Billboard Top 100 #2 Yummy - Justin Bieber

“Yummy” is the lead single to Justin Bieber’s fifth studio album, and his first solo release since his fourth studio album, Purpose, released on November 13, 2015. Its release was accompanied by a lyric video, and an official music video that released at 12:00 PM EST on January 4th, 2020.

 

Yummy is a term used to describe something or someone that you find very attractive or appealing. Justin uses this term to describe his wife, Hailey Bieber, to which he is known for publicly gushing over. Whether it’s commenting on photos of her, or writing a poem for her, Justin always shows just how much he loves his wife.

Billboard Top 100 #3 Circles - Post Malone

The track was released on September 3, 2019, on YouTube as the third single from Post Malone’s third studio album Hollywood’s Bleeding and it has soon received more than 2.6 million views on its release day. You can save it from YouTube to MP3 on this site.

Globally, this new single earned more than 4.77 million plays, landing at No. 2 behind Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello's worldwide smash, "Señorita."  A snippet of the track originally surfaced online in July of 2019 and the full song was leaked online later in August.

This medieval-themed music video features Post Malone being killed by a group of zombies, rising from a grave and visiting a love interest who uses her hair to let the man climb up.

Billboard Top 100 #4 Memories - Maroon 5

The song is an evolution of the more acoustic sound put forth in Maroon 5’s sixth studio album, Red Pill Blues, and specifically their #1 hit, “Girls Like You.”

Lyrically, the song is a reflective look back at the past, while also paying homage to those in our lives who may no longer be with us.

Billboard Top 100 #5 10,000 Hours - Dan + Shay & Justin Bieber

Released on the 4th of October, 2019, just days after Justin and Hailey Bieber’s nuptials in South Carolina.

 

10,000 hours, according to Malcolm Gladwell is the time taken to master a skill, or in this case, truly fall in love. Coinciding with his nuptials with Hailey, this song also serves as Justin’s proclamation of love to Hailey, and to the dedication he seeks to show throughout their marriage.

Billboard Top 100 #6 Someone You Loved - Lewis Capald

The music video, starring the former Doctor Who star (and Lewis' distant relative) Peter Capaldi, depicts him as a widower. He is content; however, when he meets a young mother and her family, who his wife had donated a heart to, and he gets to listen to her heartbeat again.

“Someone You Loved” was Lewis’ first UK number 1 single and spent seven consecutive weeks at the top. It also hit #1 on Scotland and Ireland’s charts.

Billboard Top 100 #7 Dance Monkey - Tones And I

"Dance Monkey" was released on 10 May 2019 as the second single from Tones and I's debut EP The Kids Are Coming. Upon release, Tones and I said the song is about the expectations that are placed on musical performers.

 

Tones explained that the song is about the relationship she had with her audience when she was busking on the streets of Australia:

 

"I wrote this song when I was busking, and the pressure that I felt to always be entertaining people on the street. And if they didn't like it, when they looked at their phones they could just click something else; ... we are all so used to being entertained at the click of a button."

On the remix of her 2016 single “Good as Hell” from the Coconut Oil EP, Lizzo recruits fellow Boca Raton, Florida native singer, Ariana Grande.

Roxanne is a 2019 single by Arizona Zervas. It started gaining traction on the popular app TikTok in October of 2019.

Roxanne is a song that describes a girl called “Roxanne,” who, according to Arizona, likes to party and spend her dad’s money. It describes his relationship with her and just in general, how she acts and is.
