During the MTV Movie & TV Awards, Marvel Studios premieres the first trailer for Thor: Love & Thunder, just over a month before the film's release.
The first trailer for Marvel's Thor: Love & Thunder has arrived, just over a month before the film's premiere. The highly anticipated picture, which will be released exclusively in cinemas in July, will be a first for the MCU in that it will be the first time a character will receive a fourth solo film. In this new adventure, Chris Hemsworth reprises his role as Thor, but he won't be the only version of the hammer-wielding character to appear. Jane Foster's Mighty Thor will also be introduced in Love & Thunder, with Natalie Portman returning to the MCU following a hiatus from 2017's Thor: Ragnarok.
Thor: Love & Thunder, directed by Taika Waititi, follows up with the titular god following 2019's Avengers: Endgame. Following Thanos' devastation, Thor has taken a surprising turn away from heroism and has chosen to live a more peaceful life. Thor's peaceful life is disrupted when the ruthless Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale) appears, compelling him to return to the superhero game.
