2021" Summary and Synopsis

The second installment in the two-part film series based on Nobuhiro Watashiki's comic book.

Directed by Keishi Okamoto and starring Takeru Sato. The mystery of the scarlet cross on Kenshin's left cheek is revealed. During the Edo period, Kenshin made a name for himself as an assassin for the overthrowing shogunate.

The upheaval that marks the end of Edo. The assassin Himura Kenshin is a member of the Choshu clan led by Katsura Kogoro. This faction belongs to the overthrowing shogunate faction. Himura the Battousai, by that name, was said to be the most dangerous manslayer on earth. One night, Tomoe Yukiyo (the girl he saved) saw him slaying a man and decided to protect him. To escape the Shogunate's pursuit, he hides with Tomoe. While living with Tomoe, Kenshin finds his true happiness. One day, Tomoe disappears.

Character IntroductionHimura Kenshin (played by Takeru Sato).

He is a boy who has lived alone all his life, but is rescued by Hiko Seijuro (Masaharu Fukuyama), the heir to the Hiten Goken style, and becomes his apprentice. At the end of the Edo period, he volunteers to join the Kibeitai of the Choshu clan, a faction of the overthrowing shogunate, and is appointed by Kogoro Katsura as a shadow assassin. He is feared as "Battousai the Manslayer" because of his strength and cool-headedness, and his endless killing sprees, but after an encounter with a certain person, he loses sight of his own destiny.

Yukiyo Tomoe (played in part by Masumi Arimura).

After witnessing Kenshin kill a man, she suffers a stroke and begins working at an inn where Choshu clan members stay.

While she condemns Kenshin's killing, she takes good care of him. He gains Katsura's trust and lives with Kenshin, who is being hunted by the Shogunate.

Hajime Shito (played by Yosuke Eguchi)

He is the leader of the Shinsengumi's third squadron, the Shogunate's roshi corps.

He believes in justice, "Evil, quick and deadly. His specialty is the kabutsu, a thrusting technique. He is feared as the "Wolf of Mibu. He senses the threat of Battousai the Manslayer and is waiting for an opportunity to settle the score.

Okita (played by Nijiro Murakami)

Captain of the Shinsengumi's first squadron.

He has great respect for Isamu Kondo, the head of the Shinsengumi. He is said to be a master swordsman, but suffers from lung disease. Kenshin is "just a manslayer without blood or tears" to him.

Kogoro Katsura (played by Issei Takahashi)

A samurai of the Choshu domain, he is one of the three outstanding figures of the Meiji Restoration.

He is determined to put an end to the corrupt Tokugawa regime. He volunteers to join the Mokibei, but when he sees Kenshin's swordsmanship, he is appointed as an assassin. On the other hand, he quickly realizes Kenshin's conflict.

Shinsaku Takasugi, played by Masanobu Ando. *Photo center

 An actor who is a samurai of the Choshu clan.

He aspires to become a samurai of the Choshu domain. He is a meritocrat who values ambition and swordsmanship without regard to status or honor. He sends a message to Katsura, who tries to use Kenshin as an assassin. Mansaku Katagai plays Ikeuchi, an aspiring samurai of the Choshu clan.

Kogoro Katsura is his best friend. Kenshin is his liaison in Kyoto. He is hiding out in a village.

Iizuka, played by Nobumitsu Onishi, is a samurai of the Choshu clan.

He suspects that Tomoe is his true identity. He is saddened that Tomoe is being pursued by the police for the Ikedaya Incident, and is losing faith in Katsura. <Tatsumi (played by Kazuki Kitamura)

Tatsumi is the leader of the Yami-nobu, a covert organization under the direct control of the shogunate.

Hiding in the Dark Forest, he trains daily to become the Battousai's manslayer.

Kakuta, played by Wataru Ichinose, is a Tatsumi who belongs to the Yaminobu.

In the battle of the Boundary Forest, he uses explosives and swings a huge axe to rob Himura of his sight.

Nakajo is played by the Hirano generation.

He is a member yakunobu.

By means of a dark weapon given to him by Hyoko Otowa (Shuntaro Yahagi), he shoots arrows at Himura. He uses explosives to hunt him down and deprive Himura of his hearing.

Murakami (played by Eita Okuno) is a member of the Dark Nobu.

He has two hilts and a sword chain and ambushes Kenshin throughout the city.

Yuri Yatsume (played by Eiki Narita) is a member of the Yami Shingen.

He attacks with claws on both arms. After being wounded in a fight with Kenshin, she befriends En (Shinmensuke) in a quest for revenge. He was in his childhood, when he was Yukihiro Enishi (played by Hirohiko Araki in the movie).

His sister Tomoe, who raised him in place of his mother, is his most treasured possession. Tatsumi invites her to join "Yaminobu" as he follows his sister after she leaves Kyoto.

Akira Kiyosato, played by Masataka Kubota, is the second son, and although he is not a samurai, he volunteers to join the Kyoto Samurai Order as a husband and father to his lover. He becomes involved in the assassination of the Kyoto Tokorojiro by Kenshin.

The first part of a two-part action series featuring Takeru Sato. Directed by Keishi Okamoto. Himura Kenshin was once known as the "Battousai the Manslayer. Now he is confronted by Yukiyo En, who unravels the mystery of his cross wound.

Kenshin has overcome many enemies, including Makoto Shizuo, who wants to destroy Japan. He now lives a happy life with his friends. One day, however, Kenshin is confronted in Tokyo by a strange figure who claims to be a serial killer. Kenshin is confronted with a mysterious figure who attacks him one after another in Tokyo. Exhausted, Haggard confronts Enyukiyo, who leads the Shanghai mafia and has sent weapons and warships for Shishio. Enyukiyo, who has a grudge against Kenshin, seeks to end the new era that Kenshin has created. Realizing everything, Kenshin gathers Kaoru into his circle and they discuss his past.

Characters

Kenshin Himura, played by Takeru Sato

A swordsman who lives in Kamiya Dojo in Tokyo and helps people with a reverse-blade sword, a sword that cannot be cut.

He was once feared as "Battousai the Manslayer," an assassin of the Bakumatsu school, but after the Meiji Restoration, he swore never to kill again and continues to fight the evil that threatens the new era. He defeats Shizuo Niiharu, who is trying to conquer Japan, and thinks he has achieved peace, but he is confronted with his own past.

Yukiyo (played in part by Shinmenke).

Kaoru Kamiya, played by Emi Takei

She is the head master of the Kamiya Kasshin style of swordsmanship, which teaches "the sword that brings out the best in people" inherited from her late father.

She hates crookedness. She has a kind heart and a caring personality, and is admired by everyone around her. He wishes to live with Kenshin, but is shocked to learn that Kenshin has someone he cannot forget.

Goro Fujita (played by Yosuke Eguchi).

Goro Fujita is a police officer in the Home Ministry's Metropolitan Police Department and a former member of the Shinsengumi, Hajime Saito.

He is a kenshin-taiji (swordsmith) from the end of the Tokugawa Shogunate who met at the Battle of Toba-Fushimi. However, just as they are about to cross swords, the shogunate falls. After the Meiji Restoration, he and Kenshin have a romantic relationship. He considers Kenshin's promise not to kill people to be self-satisfying. He attempts to defeat the Yen faction that attacked Tokyo.

Takataka Aoki (pictured right), played by Sanosuke Sagara, is a brawler with an amazing physique.

He is a fighter with an intuitive personality and is looked up to by those around him as a leader. He is antagonistic to Kenshin's attempts to control everything, but wants to help him.

Yahiko Myojin (played by Toshikora Onishi) *Right photo. Yahiko Myojin is a student of Kamiya Dojo.

Kenshin is his hero. He hates being treated like a child and tries his best to help his fellow students.

Megumi Takani (Megumi Takani / played by Yu Aoi)

A female doctor. She has a foul mouth, but has a straightforward personality. She is the daughter of a family of doctors, but she lost her entire family in the war and was left alone. She is now devoting herself to fulfilling her duties as a doctor.

Shinomori Soushi, played by Yusuke Iseya, is the former head of the Edo Goban, an intelligence agency of the shogunate.

During the Meiji Restoration, the Shogunate killed them to silence their brethren. He becomes obsessed with the goal of defeating Kenshin for his own honor and earning the title of the strongest warrior. He awoke after being defeated by Kenshin and is now devoted to peace.

Misao Makimachi (portrayed in part by Tao Takitani).

He meets Kenshin when he is in need of money and tries to steal Kenshin's sword on a trip. He has no parents and learns swordsmanship at Aobaya in Kyoto, the base of the Edo Oniba. He is heartbroken that Aoshi, whom he has admired since childhood, is trapped in revenge, and is grateful to Kenshin for saving him.

Ryosuke Mura plays Sawa Kami-jo, a.k.a. "Cho," the hunter of swords.

Sword hunter Cho was once one of the Ten Swords. However, after Shidou was defeated by Kenshin, he turned against Shidou and became an investigator for the Metropolitan Police Department.

Wu Heishin (played by Takuma Oto) is En's superior.

He is En's second-in-command in the Shanghai Mafia. He claims that if Enn succeeds in getting revenge, he will hand over the organization to him. He is not trained in martial arts.

Chief Uramura, played by Shingo Tsurumi, is the Commissioner of Police.

He used to think that Battousai Issan was a brutal man, but after seeing Kenshin's character, he is now a man he can trust.

Miyauchi Maekawa (played by Takeo Nakahara), the head master of the Maekawa Dojo where Kaoru goes to train.

In his younger days, he was one of the 20 best swordsmen in Edo.

He is a member of the En school.

Defeated by Kenshin at the end of the Edo period. He lost the use of his right arm from the elbow down. He is now fighting with the weapon he lost. He holds a grudge against Kenshin.

Otoobe Hyoue, played by Shuntaro Yanagi, is a member of the En Party.

He is a pleasure killer and fights with two curved swords and various dark weapons.

Inui Tenmon

A member of the faction.

En faction. He fights with both legs and arms equipped with steel. He destroys Tokyo in order to kill Kenshin.

Yuri Yatsume (played by Eiki Narita) .

A member of the En faction.

The eerie mask he wears is a disguise. He fights with long, sharp claws on the tips of his arms. When they attack Tokyo, they are accompanied by Kentenmon.
