Netflix "YuYu Hakusho", Cast and Characters

Netflix will be adapting the hit manga " YuYu Hakusho" by Yoshihiro Togashi of "HUNTER x HUNTER" and "Level E" into a movie. The following is a list of the cast and characters of the film. This list will be updated as needed.

YuYu Hakusho

A fantasy adventure in which the main character dies in an unscheduled accident. He then becomes a spirit world detective and solves cases involving spirits and ghosts. It was serialized in Weekly Jump from 1990 to 1994. The animated TV version was also very popular. The serialization was a great success. The live-action film was directed by Sho Tsukikawa. His works include "Kimi no Pancreas wo Tabetai." The screenplay was written by Tatsuo Mishima. the VFX supervisor is Ryo Sakaguchi (Scanline VFX). Produced by Teru Morii. Production company is ROBOT.

Urameshi Yusuke (Takumi Kitamura)

The protagonist of this story is a fighter with a bad reputation, considered a dangerous delinquent, and feared by his school. He is a fighter who died protecting a child from an accident. The spirit world did not expect Yusuke to die saving a child. Therefore, Yusuke is resurrected as a spirit world detective. He solves ghost cases and finds himself in a big fight.

Kurama (Jun Shikon)

A super-powerful yokai who stole the three most secret treasures of the demon world for a certain purpose, he eventually joins forces with Yusuke to fight the yokai. He is a young man with a neutral and bewitching air, and his long red hair is his trademark.

Tobikage (Kanata Hongo)

A ruthless yokai who will stop at nothing to achieve his goal, he and Kurama steal the three greatest treasures of the demon world for a specific purpose. He fights against Yusuke, but in fact, his purpose hides a surprising secret. She is a striking woman with black hair that rises like flames. Her eyes are red in the anime version, but blue in the live-action character art. One also wonders what the covered forehead is.

Kazuma Kuwabara (Hiiragi Uesugi)

A quarrelsome and good-natured man who calls himself Yusuke's rival. However, he also has a kind and gentle side. In the live-action version, his trademark regent has been upgraded to a stylish modern version. In the original work, he used his extraordinary guts and powerful spiritual power as weapons.

Yu Yu Hakusho" will be available worldwide on Netflix from December 2023.
